Bipolar, ADD, ADHD food allergy – I have a theory…

May 23rd, 2011

After much research in the area of food allergies in children, I am developing a theory. It is known that children who do not get to breastfeed as infants for whatever the reason do not get the immune defenses provided by the mother during breastfeeding. This leads to uncommon allergic reactions to the environment around these children in the form of “Leaky Gut Syndrome”, which is thought of as more of an adult problem. When a child cannot process Wheat, Dairy, Gluten and Artificial food dye properly, they present with a host of issues ranging from ADD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, chronic infections, etc… The normal lining of the digestive track is designed to break food down into small particles, of which the body takes what it needs and filters out the bad stuff. In children who present with allergies to certain foods, the body is not able to filter out the neither bad stuff nor breakdown the good stuff for normal assimilation in to the body. I believe this is why we see so many children with these issues. I have been thinking about why the doctors cannot figure this stuff out (except for the fact they don’t get paid for non medical diagnosis). This may be responsible for why so many people have so many different ideas about what is going on with our children? Some say, childhood inoculations are a bad thing and can cause autism, some say food additives are causing issues. All I know is that something has changed from years ago when these types of diagnosis’s where not prevalent at all. My theory is that maybe, when children did not get the benefit of breastfeeding creating the immune response needed, this allows all our new world environmental ingredients to create issues within our children. Maybe, just maybe, it is all affecting them because of the lack of immune response post birth. This theory would explain why no one can come up with a reasonable explanation. There has to be an underlying factor somewhere that is being missed. It effects some but not other, it effects each in a different way. I would be interested to know how many people that did not get to breastfeed have children with some sort of new age medical diagnosis. I know that as times have changed many have not breastfeed like they did in the past. Just wondering?

Food Dye Affecting Our Children

May 19th, 2011

Here is a little rant I have been on for the past few weeks. To think that ingesting a petroleum product will not cause adverse reaction over time is ridiculous. Anyone would be hard pressed to find a regular food on the market that does not contain some sort of food dye. It is in everything we eat Read More...

How does a mom keep going when she knows she could lose her son any moment? MISD Budget

February 8th, 2011

MISD News This is an article written by Ryder Warren, MISD Superintendent. Because Rick Perry did not take the Federal funds for education, this is what we are now facing. We need government cutbacks but I am not sure education is the place to cut. First we leave our children with a huge debt and then we do not educate them on how to get out of it? Let me start off this article with a sincere thank you to all of our school stakeholders – our kids, our parents/caregivers, and our school district employees Read More...
